Battlegrounds Mobile India: iOS version launched in India

The Battlegrounds Mobile India iOS app is now available in the App Store for iPhone and iPad after months of waiting. The game has been available to Android users since mid-June and even earlier for previous registrations. Developer Krafton has been mocking the launch of BGMI’s iOS launch for some time now and, finally, it has finally arrived. The official website states that the retention of the iOS game version authentication system took place this morning, August 18, and probably after that was played by iPhone and iPad users.

IOS users can now download and play Battlegrounds Mobile India on their iPhone or iPad. This comes two months after Android users put their hands on it. The game was scheduled for pre-registration in the Google Play store in mid-May after which it was available for download in beta on June 17. Shortly thereafter, Battlegrounds Mobile India entered pre-access allowing more Android users to download and play. After that, the official launch of Android took place on July 2.

All this time, iOS users had to wait for an update from the developer that continued to mock the upcoming game release on the platform but without a specific date or a hard timeline.

Battlegrounds Mobile India is now listed on the App Store for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. It is 1.9GB in size and requires iOS 9.0 / iPadOS 9.0 or later. Krafton says at least 2GB of RAM is needed to make the game. The BGMI iOS app is estimated to be 17+ years old and the list is “Inclusive and Violent” – something Krafton was actively trying to disassociate with his game and follow the PUBG India bans.

IOS players will receive acceptance prizes including Recon Mask, Recon Outfit, Celebration Expert Title, and 300AG in-game cash. IOS players will also receive the Galaxy Messenger Set, which was part of the 50M Downloads Rewards Event.

Krafton, on the official website of Battlegrounds Mobile India, shared that the upgrade of the iOS version authentication system was done this morning, which was completed at 8:30 am IST. Accounts connected with Apple IDs will now be able to sign in again.

Here’s how to download the BGMI iOS version:

  • Go to Apple App Store
  • Search for Battlegrounds Mobile India
  • Wait for the game to download
  • After installing the game, log in to the game and select the graphics settings pack
  • Voila! You can start playing the game

There’s a chance that the game might not show everyone at first, but wait a bit and try downloading again.

Krafton also offers players special rewards including cards, skins, and more. The company is currently hosting the Mohatsav independence day, which ends on August 19. Players will be rewarded with AWM’s temporary leather. This prize can only be redeemed for one month.
